What should I do for a day in Wollombi?

When it comes to activities in Wollombi you're covered. There's a range of different activities to do depending on your interests. Fancy a vino? Head to one of our local wineries. Try Undercliff's Sparkling Shiraz, Wollombi Village Wine's Limoncello, Noyce Bros. Director's Cut Shiraz or Stonehurst's Chambourcin. All these wineries are within 10mins from the village.


Are you more the adventerous? Head to one of the local National Parks such as the Watagans, Yengo, Onley or Pokolbin State forest. Many of these parks offer guided tours which can be arranged. 4WD access only.


If you're hungry after all adventurizing head to Wollombi village which has a few options when it comes to dining out if a BBQ isn't going to cut it. You have the Wollombi Tavern; the local watering hole where you can share a beer with the locals and have a yarn over the weather whilst tucking into some decent pub-grub. Harp of Erin sits within the General Store and tells the story of a bygone era, they serve value for money cafe style sandwiches, pies and fish & chips. Myrtle House sits on the village hill and has a great aspect to people watch of a weekend, the gastro-pub style food and bevies are slightly more up market than the Tavern or Harp of Erin. Panino's is the more fine dining venue of Wollombi with colourful locals Bruno and Victoria who serve Italian inspired cuisine. The General Store in Wollombi is the perfect place to pick up a toothbrush if you forgot it and a premium gelato.
