Cranky Rock Cottage & Camping at Wollombi (in the heart of wine country) gets its name from the 25 tonne sandstone Rock that graces the cottage. A working beef and horse farm, myself Pam and my hubby Lindsay purchased the 120 acre property in 2006 after owning a 4000 acre property in north west NSW.

Lindsay a 5th generation local to Wollombi, We started the Camping adventure about 5 years ago when a friend was trying to escape the 'caravan park' option for an Easter break and asked if we would be happy for him to come camping at our place.

We thought it was such a great concept and decided to give it a 'trial' What an amazing response ! We have loved every minute of the experience.

We have met some fantastic families which we enjoy sharing our place with who love the beauty of our piece of paradise. The littlies (and some biggies) love to help my husband Lindsay feed the chooks and build the fire that warms all. The walks along the banks of the creek, the rainforest and open woodlands, nature at its best, getting a sneak peak at deer, wallaby, and wombat. Awaken to lyre birds and parrots in the morning, surrounded by cliffs of sandstone. today we enjoy riding our quarter horses in the mountains where we live and breeding our few pick Santa Gertrudis cattle. The Wollombi Brook which double fronts the property amongst the willows is a cool change on a warm day.
